Project Discontinuation & Return of Florals
In the event that either the Client or the Artist chooses to discontinue the project for any reason, the preserved florals may be returned to the Client in their current, incomplete state. A handling and processing fee may apply to cover materials, labor, and packaging associated with the return.
By purchasing a product through Mayflower Artistry, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
- I understand the condition my flowers arrive in is at no fault to the artist. Replacement blooms can be purchased at an added cost by the client, and sourced out by artist if need arises.
- I understand that the cost of overnighting my flowers to Mayflower Artistry is my responsibility and that this could cost anywhere from $30-
$300. Please keep shipping cost in mind when booking. - I understand that the preservation process takes time, sometimes several months.
- I understand my flowers may change color in the press.
- I understand that pieces included in the shipping of my flowers (ie invitation, program, special products, etc) will be placed into an envelope then taped to the lid of the box, and clarified with the artist prior to shipping, to ensure they are safely kept and not accidentally removed upon arrival.
- I understand that there are no refunds before or after purchasing.
- I understand that Mayflower Artistry cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged packages either including fresh flowers, or returned frames
- I understand that the address I supply for shipping my piece is accurate. Unless further stated during the final framing and shipping stage.
- I understand that I am allotted 1 design change on my piece, before an added charge of $15 per design revision is administered.
- I understand that the color of my flowers may fade over time and through the years.
- I understand that any color correction or enhancement is artistic in nature and not permanent or guaranteed. Environmental factors such as light, humidity, and temperature may further impact the piece.
- I understand that each piece is created using real, organic flowers, slight dust particles or small natural imperfections may be visible. These subtle variations are part of the charm and authenticity of preserved floral art.
- I understand that the final design of my piece may shift slightly from the approved design, as it’s transferred from design mat to glass/plexiglass.
- I understand that expectations of the final piece will reflect the flowers supplied. We cannot directly replicate or mimic previous work as each piece is unique and one of a kind.
- I understand that the framing quality consists of standard glass, plexiglass, metal, or manufactured wood. We do not currently offer museum glass/ non reflecting glass.
- I understand that not all flower types can be pressed or will make it into the final frame.
- I understand that depending on frame size purchased, only a certain amount of flowers can fit into a frame.
- I understand that extra flowers will not be sent back to the client, but smaller frames or gifts can be purchased at an added cost.
- All communication regarding the project must be conducted directly with the contracted client listed on this agreement. While a third party may pay for services as a gift, the contracted client remains the sole decision-maker and point of contact. The Artist is not responsible for addressing concerns, change requests, or disputes from individuals who are not party to this agreement.
Returns and Exchanges
Due to the custom and sentimental nature of our work, all sales are final. We do not offer returns or exchanges on custom pieces once they have been approved by the client.
In the rare event that your piece arrives damaged, Mayflower Artistry will work directly with the shipping carrier to open an insurance claim. Please note that insurance claims are a formal process and resolution timelines are determined by the carrier and may take time.
If return shipment is required, we can coordinate for the piece to be sent back to Mayflower Artistry at the client’s expense. Once the insurance claim is approved and funds are received, these costs will be reimbursed. Insurance funds are applied toward necessary repairs, reframing, repackaging, and return shipping.
All damage or concerns must be reported within 3 days of delivery/pickup. After this period, the piece will be considered accepted, approved, and final.
If you book with Mayflower Artistry to preserve your flowers, we expect that you have already confirmed overnight shipping costs.
